He brings knowledge of Kaizen & Lean manufacturing techniques.  SME HQ has posted a notice for Lean Certification. Your Consultant, Chris Ortiz

Chris Ortiz is a senior lean consultant and the owner of Kaizen Assembly. He has spent the majority of his professional career working for Fortune 500 companies, teaching and guiding them to become more efficient businesses. He has designed and constructed well over 100 assembly lines and other manufacturing processes resulting in millions of dollars in cost savings and waste reduction.

Chris holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Western Washington University. He has been trained by the John Costanza Institute of Technology in “Demand Flow Technology” and by the Georgia Institute of Technology for ISO 9001: 2000 Internal Quality Auditing. He is also a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Chris is the author of the upcoming book Kaizen Assembly, Designing, Constructing, and Managing a Lean Assembly Line (CRC Press, July 2006). His lean implementation techniques have been featured in a variety of trade magazines, newspapers, and corporate newsletters. He has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, The Seattle Times, The Orlando Sentinel, The Pittsburgh Tribune Review, and the Take Back Your Time National Newsletter.  Chris was recently featured in the Sept/Oct edition of Industrial Management Magazine and will be in the April 2006 edition of Industrial Engineer Magazine.
